Bible Audio

This proof of concept generates a new narration of the complete English King James Bible on your device. It ships no recordings. Normal (Kitten Micro, Bella) is the default voice. Light (Amy) is the ultra-tiny alternative.

It needs a browser that supports WebAssembly. Normal needs WebAssembly SIMD and more memory. How smoothly it plays depends on your phone. Keep the app open while listening: background execution and locked-screen playback depend on the operating system and browser.

Offline saving requires a secure HTTPS link, or localhost during development. “Ready offline” appears after every required file has been saved. Browsers can remove saved files if storage is low; saving to the home screen and allowing persistent storage can help. No account, API key, hosted TTS, or analytics is used.
